The variety of conditions that internists typically see is what led Dr. Brian Harris to his specialty.
As an internal medicine physician at Methodist Physicians Clinic Regency, Dr. Harris loves meeting people and building relationships. His favorite moments come when patients express their gratitude.
“That just tells me I'm making an impact and doing something good,” he said. “I'm making a difference in their lives, and at the end of the day, that's really why we get into medicine.”
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He completed his medical training, including his internal medicine-primary care residency, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Previously, he was an assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
In his free time, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, and taking part in anything related to sports, the outdoors or games.
