Shawn Harrahill, PT, DPT, knew he wanted to be a physical therapist after suffering injuries himself as a student athlete. His experiences first as a patient, then later working in a clinical setting helped set his sights on the type of provider he wanted to be.
"I feel a great sense of gratification assisting patients to decrease their pain, improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal therapy goals," said Harrahill. "My mission is to show compassion for every patient and to treat them as if I were treating a family member, helping patients achieve their highest level of function."
Working in outpatient orthopedics, Harrahill treats many patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic Indian Hillswith spine, shoulder and knee pain. He incorporates manual therapy techniques to improve mobility, increase range of motion, strength and stability, and decrease pain.
Outside of work, Harrahill enjoys spending time with his wife, Laurie and daughter Hadley. He's an avid sports fan, whether he's playing or watching. His favorite teams are the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Chicago Cubs.
