James Ramig

About the Author:

A family medicine physician at Methodist Physicians Clinic Hawthorne Court, Dr. James Ramig is passionate about science, medicine and building relationships with patients – especially parents and their children. He believes honest discussions about successes and struggles can lead to better outcomes.

“You don’t have to be perfect. Doctors aren’t perfect. Parents aren’t perfect,” he said. “So, I think honesty is really important. And then engaging children at an adult level is really important because it enables children or young adults to take part in their care, to be responsible with it.”

Dr. Ramig earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Clarkson Family Medicine. Previously, he was a family medicine physician at Midwest Regional Health Services, a hospitalist for Nebraska Orthopedic Hospital and a physician for Methodist Physicians Clinic Urgent Care.

In his free time, Dr. Ramig enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies, golfing and walking his dog morning and night. He’s also a science fiction fan and enjoys all of the ‘80s classics such as “Back to the Future,” “Star Wars” and “Alien.”
