About the Author:

Julie Cerney is a Writer and Associate Editor for Methodist Health System with more than three decades of experience in communications, marketing and education. Passionate about the power of authentic storytelling, Julie writes to educate, entertain, inform and inspire.

“Storytelling is all about people. Every day throughout Methodist Health System, truly amazing people give and receive care. They experience life-changing challenge and achievement, triumph as well as loss. These people show us what The Meaning of Care is all about. Telling their stories is an honor and a privilege.”

An Iowa native and former English professor, Julie relocated a dozen times across the western U.S. with her Air Force pilot husband and their two children before the family settled in Omaha in 1990. She is a proud grandparent, dedicated disc golfer, compulsive proofreader and lifelong bibliophile.
