Brenda Herrod is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and the coordinator of the Better Living Weight Management Program for Methodist Health System.  She is passionate about inspiring and sharing her healthy lifestyle with others. A nurse for the past 25 years, Herrod encourages employees to believe in themselves, keep a positive mindset, and change daily habits to keep the weight off for good. 

"The best thing about my job is getting to know my clients and seeing their progressive changes from their determination and hard work," Herrod said. "It is the best thing in the world when you see someone able to get off some of their medications, become healthier and more confident. I feel very privileged to be in a role where I can motivate, educate and help improve lives of the amazing employees at Methodist Health System.” 

Herrod grew up on a farm in Iowa and most of her hobbies have to do with fitness and being in nature. She enjoys weight training and is proud to have earned two Pro Cards in natural figure competitions. Herrod loves working out, hiking, kayaking, healthy cooking, and spending time with her family, husband and yellow lab Koa. She is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, C.O.P.E. Certified Health Coach, and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Fitness certified.
