About the Author:

Don Anderson, PT, is a physical therapist at Methodist Physicians Clinic Regency. He specializes in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys helping patients with a variety of ailments, including sports and spinal injuries as well as postsurgical issues.

He completed his training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Anderson’s interest in physical therapy started in college. He was majoring in biology when he responded to a note on his dorm bulletin from an elderly stroke patient who needed help with his physical therapy exercises. Anderson was then trained to help the patient walk and stretch, and he assisted him with other exercises. That’s when Anderson considered making a career of it.

In his free time, Anderson enjoys attending sporting events, golfing, reading, working in the yard, traveling, spending time at the beach and being with his family. He is a proud grandfather, food pantry volunteer, active church member and owner of a large collection of fossilized shark teeth.
