Dr. Ronald Silvius, a family medicine physician at Methodist Physicians Clinic Glenwood, says interacting with patients is what he likes most about being a doctor.
“I think you can make a big impact on people’s lives in primary care,” he said. “A lot people, that’s the only doctor they ever see. I think it’s fulfilling in that aspect.”
Dr. Silvius completed medical school and his family medicine residency at Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been practicing in Glenwood since 2000.
Dr. Silvius enjoys spending his free time with his family. He also likes being in the great outdoors, participating in activities such as hunting, fishing, swimming and biking.
When it comes to seniors and their health, age really is just a number.
