Crystall Williams, MA Ministry
About the Author:
After 30 years in the workplace – first in the insurance and financial services industry, then sales – Chaplain Crystall Williams felt called in a different direction.
“Whenever I went into a church, the Holy Spirit within me would jump for joy,” she said. “When I would leave, the Holy Spirit within me would weep.”
She returned to her alma mater – Creighton University, which is where she previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in public relations – and obtained a Master of Arts in Ministry. She also received her Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) certification through CHI Health.
For Williams, the best part about being a chaplain at Methodist Hospital is finally being who God called her to be.
“I am blessed to sit at the bedside of the sick to ease their ‘dis-ease’ – in whatever way it manifests. God called me to take care of His people. For me, this is joy.”
She is honored to be part of the Methodist family, working to bring wellness to patients.
“The medical providers provide help for the body,” Williams said. “Chaplains tend to the patients’ spiritual and emotional needs.”
In her free time, she enjoys getting creative and putting things together. She likes sewing, writing and working on various projects. For her, creativity is meditative and very soothing to the soul.
