Dr. M. Alexender Shehan enjoys being a patient’s steward for treatment of health issues.

“Working with patients is far and away the most rewarding part of my job,” he said.

He is proud to practice at Methodist, which he considers “a standout in the community.”

“Patients always give positive reviews of their experiences at Methodist hospitals or clinics,” he said.

Dr. Shehan is an internist at Methodist Physicians Clinic Cass Street. He received his medical degree from Creighton University Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency at Creighton University’s affiliated hospitals. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Creighton University.

Dr. Shehan previously practiced at Think Whole Person Healthcare in Omaha and Physicians of Internal Medicine in Omaha.

Outside of work, his hobbies and interests include science, travel, music, photography, technology, nature, astronomy and fitness.
