About the Author:
Melissa Groff, PA-C, knew in college she wanted to pursue a career that would allow her to work with others and be of service to them.
After graduating from Regis University in Colorado and completing PA school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she knew she wanted to work in family practice. She is a physician assistant at Methodist Physicians Clinic Indian Hills.
She enjoys pediatric patients and practicing preventive medicine through recommended screenings and healthy lifestyles.
Groff is impressed by the focus and support Methodist shows in its commitment to provide quality patient care. She is inspired by the physicians she works with and the patients she sees.
“It’s not only inspiring but humbling to see patients who are struggling with illness, disease and failing health who still manage to have a smile and message to me their appreciation,” she said.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family. She has twin daughters who play softball. Together, she and her husband help coach their team. Her son plays on the sprint football team at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Getting to visit him and watch his games is one of her favorite things to do. And when she finds time, she also enjoys working in her yard.
