About the Author:

Wendy Teetor, PT, DPT, CPI, is a physical therapist and coordinator for the physical wellness programs at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. Her goal is to provide effective care focused on the unique needs of each patient.

“I love that Methodist supports these programs that focuses on the patient both during and after their cancer journey,” Wendy said. “This is a forward-thinking approach that focuses not just on the survivorship of the patient, but on the quality of the survivorship and making people strong and healthy as they continue to live their lives to the fullest.”

In Methodist’s professionally-designed wellness programs, licensed physical therapists teach patients to exercise safely and effectively during and after cancer treatment. Wendy also teaches weekly exercise classes and provides recommendations for patients based on their fitness goals.
